Rock Candy Miami

MATERIAL GIRL: Money can’t buy you love, but it sure can get you plenty of treats for Valentine’s Day. This Thursday treat yourself to stuff that’s sweeter than a box of chocolates at the Shop Your Heart Out event. The love affair takes place at The Miami Museum of Science and will feature discounted items from local boutiques and designers. Find Spring 2010 trends from stores like M-M Couture and Lady Lux, baubles from Rock Candy and JS Beads and plenty of novelty items from brands like Soy Delicious. The first 150 guests will receive a goody bag and a 100 percent of the proceeds from ticket sales go to National Awareness for Eating Disorders Week (NEDAW). Plus, there will be complimentary cocktails and cigars. GET IT: 6 to 10:30 p.m. $5 in advance or $10 at the door, Miami Museum of Science, 3280 South Miami Avenue.
