count down

in the frenzy to prepare to board the Liberty of the Seas the INSPIRATION just keeps coming! as writers sometimes experience writer's block... i feel that the past two weeks have found me in a void, a black hole or worse... uninspired. thank God it was temporary!! i've been up this week, night after night until 6am, 5am and tonight i'm pushing 4am as i type this. that's what i call INSPIRATION!! i don't want to sleep but i must... i have appointments all day tomorrow :) yea rock candy!
TOP: natural pink agate with bali silver necklace. BOTTOM: feldspath graphic with hill-tribe silver. the color is true, no photoshopping here. it's something new i found this week so stand by for a series of goodies with this stone!
make today count, tomorrow is promised to no one. xo

the Black Pearl

taking the collection on the Liberty of the Seas this weekend has me playing in all of the treasures of the ocean. and no, it wasn't planned... these things just tend to happen. (God's steering this rig, and He LOVES it when a plan comes together)

earlier tonight i was working with MOP and coin pearls... all in the cream and beige family. as the evening, who am i kidding...it's 4am, as the morning has gone on, i've brought out the black MOP and offset it with faceted chunks of Pink Opal. these pieces of Pink Opal are purple (that tends to happen too). something tells me these two would have never met had they not been joined on my workspace.
call it a hunch.

oh, and the title of this post totally is a LOST throwback. (it's late, what can i say?)

oh HAPPY day!!

i'm in what you might call a brown, creamy, pearly phase. it won't last, but it's a phase even still. TOP: Brown Agate Slice with Sardonyx stones & Swarovski Crystal .
MIDDLE: Sardonyx & Mother Of Pearl (love, love, love!) BOTTOM: Coin Pearls & Mother Of Pearl. (any further references to Mother of Pearl, i'll use "MOP")

Peace & LOVE

i thought this would be a cool combo... but didn't know i'd LOVE it like this! don't know if i've seen Labradorite and Chinese Turquoise together before, but i know now that i'll be pairing them up for a long long life of true love!
hope it resonates with others the way it appeals to me! you know they say you glow when you're in love... well, when i look at these two together... i'm blinded by that GLOW!
if Labradorite is new to you... let me tell you, there's hardly a stone that compares! it's this grayish green color stone, nothing special right? that is, until light is introduced! there's a glow from within and it glows BLUE! it's fascinating!
God's endless creativity never ceases to utterly amaze me!!

Crossing Lines

again, i'm dwelling in the multi-useful jewelry series. i like series.
i play in a style until one, i wear myself out or two, exhaust the supply of the stones.
either way, it always works out to be perfect timing to move into yet another phase.
these Jade stones are carved with a swirl pattern and the colors are just mesmerizing. i can't pick a favorite because they are each just exquisite! the crosses are equally enchanting made with all the different stones. Mother of Pearl, Leopard Skin Jasper, Olive Jade, Onyx and Agate...
nearly identical to the design of the peace bracelets, the only difference being the size of the stones. the large peace signs required a much larger stone to accompany them... the dainty crosses play well with the smaller stones.
the natural stones have a nice weight to them so they feel great on your arm.

i'll have these at Norman's this weekend and then they go to Europe with me on the cruises! www.normanbrothers.com

i'm happy to ship them too... shoot me an email if you have questions or requests.

new development

i'm always inspired by pieces that have dual purpose. i've developed these pieces lately and love not only what they are made of but the fact that they are designed as a wrap bracelet (of course) and have a second use as a choker. but with the addition of an extender, could be used as a longer, 18 or 20 inch necklace.
what is new, besides the design is the use of round stones. i don't usually use them. somehow i was drawn to several stones in this shape and here we are!
the peace signs have been requested for months now. i haven't found just the right pieces until yesterday. these are carved from Agate. love them!
i've paired them here with carved Jade and a new stone i've found recently, Septeria. Septeria are the brown and tan stones and the jade are black with carved swirling patterns.
